Product, privacy, billing, and troubleshooting — everything in one place.
Product
A native macOS menu-bar app for dictation. Press a hotkey (default F6, or hold Control for push-to-talk — both customizable), speak, and your words are transcribed and delivered into whatever app you were typing in.
Two big things: VybeScript can clean up what you said — removing filler words, tightening sentences, or rewriting it formally — while keeping it in your voice. And everything runs on your Mac; nothing is sent to Apple or anyone else to process.
Raw — exactly what you said, verbatim. Clean (default) — removes “um, uh, like” and false starts, keeps your voice. Polish — tightened and easy to read, still in your words. Formal — clear, professional, polished writing. You pick the style per-recording from the main window; Clean is the default.
English and Spanish today, selectable before you record.
Recording, transcription (Whisper), and Raw/Clean modes work fully offline. Polish and Formal use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models, which also run locally with no network round-trip — but that feature requires macOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence–capable hardware. See Support for exact requirements.
Yes. You can add custom terms (names, jargon, product names) that bias the transcription toward recognizing them correctly, and teach it heard→corrected substitutions it will apply automatically going forward.
With Accessibility permission granted, yes — VybeScript inserts the transcript directly where your cursor is. Without it, the transcript is copied to your clipboard for you to paste manually.
Optionally. You can enable local transcript history in Settings, edit past entries, and clear it at any time — it’s stored only on your Mac.
Privacy
No. Recording, transcription, and AI cleanup all happen on-device. See the full Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn’t processed, and how purchasing (via Lemon Squeezy) is handled separately.
Yes — Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor, shares your email and purchase record with us so we can support you and verify your license. We don’t receive your payment card details.
The website uses Google Analytics to understand traffic (pages visited, general location, device type) — you’ll see a cookie notice on your first visit. Decline it and no analytics cookies are ever set, and you stay unidentifiable to us; accept it and we can measure your visit. This is separate from the app: VybeScript itself has no analytics SDK and never sends your audio or transcripts anywhere. See the full Privacy Policy.
Billing & licensing
A Lifetime license (pay once, yours forever) and a Yearly Pass (billed annually). Both unlock the identical full app — the only difference is how you pay. See Pricing.
After purchase, you’ll get a license key by email. Paste it into the app’s License window to activate. A Lifetime key activates on up to 5 Macs; a Yearly Pass key activates on up to 3 Macs.
Yes — use “Deactivate this Mac” in the License window on the old machine, then activate the same key on the new one.
VybeScript keeps working offline for up to 14 days on a cached license before it needs to reconnect and re-verify.
Yes, within the windows described in our Refund Policy — 14 days, no questions asked.
Yes, annually, until you cancel. We’ll notify you before renewal; cancel any time from the License window in the app.
Troubleshooting
Check that Accessibility permission is granted (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility). If you’d rather not grant it, transcripts still land on your clipboard.
Polish and Formal require macOS 26+ and Apple Intelligence–capable hardware. Raw and Clean work on any supported Mac.
