How do I teach VybeScript names and special words?

Step by step

Add a custom word

1. Open Settings > Vocabulary.
2. Under Custom words, type the word, for example a name or a product.
3. Press Return or choose Add.

VybeScript listens for these words and keeps their spelling. You can add up to 100. The counter shows how many you have used. To remove one, click the ✕ next to it in the list. When you reach 100, remove a word before adding another.

Fix a word it always mishears

1. Under Corrections, type the wrong version in Heard.
2. Type the right one in Corrected.
3. Choose Add.

Corrections are applied automatically after each transcription. To remove one, click the ✕ on its row.

Add many words at once

• Import… accepts a pasted list or a file (.vybevocab, .csv or .txt). Use one word per line, or "heard, corrected" to add a correction. Choose Review to see a preview. Nothing is saved until you choose the import button, which shows the count, for example Import 3 words.
• Export… saves your words so a teammate can import them.

Let it learn from you

Learn from my corrections is on by default. After a paste, if you fix the text and copy it again, VybeScript offers to learn the change. Review it, then choose the teach button, which shows the count, for example Teach 2 words. It only watches the clipboard. You can switch it off in the same section.

First-time download

With the Parakeet speech engine, the first time you have custom words VybeScript downloads a small extra model once (about 100 MB) so it can listen for them. You see a message while it prepares. It is not downloaded again when VybeScript updates.
