How do I move my license to a new Mac?
Quick fix
On the old Mac, connect to the internet, open License… and click Deactivate this Mac. Then enter the same key on the new Mac and click Activate.
Step by step
- On the old Mac, make sure you are online. Click the VybeScript icon in the menu bar and choose License….
- Click Deactivate this Mac. This frees that Mac's slot and clears the license from it.
- On the new Mac, install VybeScript and open it.
- Open License…, paste your key, and click Activate.
Lifetime and Yearly licenses can be active on up to 3 Macs at once, so you only need steps 1 and 2 if you have reached that limit or want to retire a Mac. The Team Pack covers up to 15 Macs. Once the app has checked your license online, the License window shows your count, for example "Active on 2 of 3 Macs".
If the old Mac is gone (broken, sold, wiped) and you could not deactivate it, email hello@boxcreativestudio.com with the email you bought with and tell us the old Mac is no longer available. We will free the activation slot for you.
Trial keys work on one Mac. On the Mac where you used the trial, deactivating frees the key, but the words already used stay counted.
